    University of Houston-Victoria discusses Katy campus at September Katy Area EDC GA meeting

    The monthly Katy Area Economic Development Council General Assembly meeting brought together members, local leaders and guests alike to hear a presentation from the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) and plans for a new UH System Katy area campus.  Held on Tuesday, September 20 at the Katy ISD Education Services Complex, the meeting drew over 75 people to hear the plan for UH System expansion in the Katy area.

    Katy Area EDC now accepting nominations for Stan C. Stanley “Eagle” Leadership and Economic Development Award

    In March of 2016, the Katy area community lost a beloved leader and community member in Mr. Stan C. Stanley.  Stan was known throughout the Katy area for his big heart and volunteerism through numerous organizations such as the Boys Scouts of America, Katy Area Economic Development Council and Katy ISD.  To honor his contributions and lasting legacy, the Katy Area EDC has created the Stan C. Stanley “Eagle” Leadership and Economic Development Award.
