    High-speed rail service between Dallas and Houston discussed at October General Assembly meeting

    The Katy Area Economic Development Council held its October General Assembly meeting on October 18 at the Katy ISD Education Services Complex.  The meeting was headlined by Texas Central, the organization working to bring high-speed rail service between Dallas and Houston.

    According to its website, Texas Central is a private company bringing a transformational project (high-speed rail) to Texas that advances the economy, respects Texan values and keeps our state on track for future growth.  Representatives in attendance at the GA meeting expounded on this idea by sharing information on the logistics of the project as well as the potential economic impact of the project.
