    Port of Houston Authority was focus of Katy Area Economic Development Council’s August General Assembly meeting

    KATY, TX – The Katy Area Economic Development Council (EDC) hosted over 80 members and guests at its August General Assembly meeting on Tuesday, August 16 at the Katy ISD Education Support Complex. General Assembly meetings, which are held monthly, provide an opportunity for the 212 members of the Katy Area EDC to gather and learn about organizations like the Port of Houston Authority, and new job-creating expansion, relocation, and real estate development projects in the Katy area.

    100 Houston companies among Inc.'s 5,000 fastest growing

    One hundred Houston companies made the 2016 Inc. 5,000 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

    Discount Power (Texas) ranked highest among the local companies at No. 80. The retail electricity provider's revenue shot up 3,733 percent from 2012 to 2015 to $52.6 million.
