Dear Prospective Member:

 

On behalf of our Board of Governors and all members of the Katy Area EDC, we hope that you will decide to join us as we continue to build a world-class community within the greater Katy area.  We believe that the Katy Area EDC has contributed to having the Katy area recognized as the western cornerstone of greater Houston and that our community is providing opportunities for excellence in business, education, healthcare, recreation and living.  Membership in our organization will provide an opportunity for your company to likewise be recognized for supporting and facilitating this vision of excellence for many years to come, and be identified as sharing these principles:

  • Be proactively involved in economic diversification and development of existing and new business.
  • Promote environmentally sound, quality economic development projects.
  • Promote family values, a family atmosphere and high quality of life.
  • Promote construction and maintenance of adequate public infrastructure.
  • Partner with public and private sector institutions and organizations to develop and maintain talent, and a well-trained, available workforce.
  • Be committed to advocating and promoting excellence in public education.
  • Promote local development sites and projects that attract capital investment, expand the tax and employment base, and reduce tax rates for businesses and families in the greater Katy area.
